Tours

The Art Museum offers facilitated tours to school and community groups. We welcome you to submit a tour request and are happy to tailor your visit to meet your needs.

Please request a tour at least 3 weeks in advance. Your requested tour date is final only when you’ve received confirmation from us. Maximum group size and tour schedule will be determined by staff and docent availability.

Pre K-12 School Groups

The Art Museum welcomes students from pre-kindergarten through senior year of high school, believing that the arts are a part of a well-rounded education and can inspire students to think creatively. We are ready to work with you to create a museum experience tailored to your students’ needs, interests, and abilities.

Using Art in Teaching and Learning

As an academic museum, The Art Museum of WVU makes working closely with university professors, staff, and students a priority. We encourage visits from all departments across campus. Even if the connection doesn’t seem immediately obvious, we can help you situate the learning in your course within a real-world and interdisciplinary context!
