The Art Museum of West Virginia University is a resource for the entire community of Morgantown and state of West Virginia. Our staff and team of dedicated volunteer docents is excited to share our collection with as many people as possible! We invite and actively encourage community groups to schedule tours. We can customize tours for church groups, after school programs, senior centers, and many more organizations.
Important information about tours:
- Tours must be requested at least three weeks in advance. Tour dates are not guaranteed until confirmed by a member of museum staff.
- The museum can accommodate 50 visitors or two groups at a time. If the group is larger than 50, they will have to come either at separate times during the same day or on different days.
- A minimum of eight people is required for a docent or staff-guided tour.
- All tour groups must be scheduled prior to visiting. Even if the group leader/organizer desires to lead the tour, he or she must contact us with a tour request in order to avoid scheduling conflicts with other groups and overcrowding in the galleries.
