Hours may change due to University break schedule and holidays. Galleries are subject to closure.
While the museum is closed to the public Mondays, Tuesdays, and in the mornings, we reserve that time to provide educational opportunities to the community through hosting school field trips, private group tours, WVU classes, summer camps, and more.
We ask that groups of 10 or more that would like a tour of the museum schedule their visit in advance.
AdmissionThe Art Museum of WVU is free to the public.
Visitors to the museum may park in Short Term Lot 1 (ST-1) or Short Term Lot 9 (ST-9). These lots are free on weekends unless there is a special event such as a home football game.
ST-1 is located at the corner of Patteson Drive and Morrill Way and ST-9 is slightly up the hill near the Evansdale Crossing building.
Pay at the pay stations in the back corner of the lots (24 hours), and then proceed on foot along the museum driveway or through the Nath Sculpture Garden to the museum’s entrance, which faces Patteson Drive.
Costs for parking:

|| $1.25/hour 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., M-F
ADA accessible parking spots are available in the driveway directly in
front of the museum’s entrance. Visitors may also pick up and drop off from
this location. Parking here is free.
During the week, visitors may park without penalty in Area 51 after 4:30 p.m. Parking is free in this lot on weekends.
