Summer Camp Tours
The Art Museum of West Virginia University is happy to welcome summer camps.
While summer camp tours are free, there is a two dollar fee per student to cover art supplies.
Before requesting a tour please be aware of the following:
- Tours must be requested at least two weeks in advance. Tour dates are not guaranteed until confirmed by a member of museum staff.
- The museum can accommodate up to 50 campers at a time. If the camp wishes to bring more than 50 campers, the groups will have to come either at separate times during the same day or on different days.
- All camp tours must be scheduled prior to visiting. Even if the camp counselors wish to lead the group in a tour, a tour request should be submitted in
order to avoid scheduling conflicts with other groups and overcrowding in the

Once your visit has been confirmed, please review the Museum Etiquette information with your campers. On your tour day please plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled tour to allow time for buses to unload campers.
Buses should drop the group in front of the Museum Education Center at 2 Fine Arts Drive. From there, buses can proceed to lot 70 ( see the map on the Plan A Visit page), where there is space for them to park and turn around.
