Educational Programs

The Art Museum is not taking any more bookings for school groups in April, but there are still some spots available in May.

The Art Museum of West Virginia University offers a variety of educational programs, many of which are free and open to the public. These programs advance the stated goals of the Art Museum, as they serve the educational needs of students, enrich and expand the resources available for research and study in the arts and humanities, and assist in creating an environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and learning for diverse audiences. Educational programs include:

  • School tours and partnerships
  • University class visits
  • Public lectures and talks
  • Summer institutes for teachers
  • Specialized research opportunities with works of art in the collection.
